Meet Dr. Pelton

Dr. Amy Pelton graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After practicing for 5 years in Santa Barbara, California, she moved to Oregon in 2020 to be closer to family. She worked as a relief veterinarian at many practices in the Portland, Salem, Eugene, and coastal areas.
Over time she has developed a passion for providing a comfortable end-of-life experience for beloved pets, realizing what an impact this final moment can have on families. After needing to perform an in-home euthanasia for a family member’s giant-breed dog who could not walk, she recognized a huge need for the service in this area.
She has lived all over the country, including Virginia, Ohio, and California (Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, and Santa Barbara). She currently loves the Willamette Valley and the rain that helps her backyard vegetable garden grow.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening in the Spring and Summer and quilting in the Fall and Winter.
She lives with her husband, 4 cats (but who’s counting?), and 3 dogs (two chihuahuas and a Frenchie).
